MARIJUANA
Marijuana is closing the gap with alcohol as the most used illegal substance among youth. This is concerning because growing scientific evidence illustrates that regular use of marijuana beginning in teen years can negatively impact brain development.
Alcohol
The greatest influence on a young person’s decision to begin drinking is the world they live in. This includes their family, friends, schools, and community. Some young people are more involved with family, others turn to their friends first.
PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION
Be thoughtful of where you keep your medications in your home. Keep medications in a secure location that is not easily accessible by unintended audiences. Store medications up, away and out of sight of children.
