AVAILABLE INTERNSHIPS

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT INTERNSHIP

360 Youth Services accepts interns interested in gaining experience in the mental health field. Internship opportunities are available for all Master’s level students working towards their degree in clinical mental health or clinical social work.

Internships can begin at any semester or quarter of the University’s Master’s program.

Interns will be provided weekly supervision by a fully licensed clinician. Group supervision is also implemented in addition to individual supervision. There are also opportunities for the intern to participate in clinical training throughout the internship.

360 YS offers a flexible schedule to our interns; however, you must provide availability for daytime hours and 1-2 evenings per week.

  • The internship involves providing therapy with your own caseload working primarily with youth ages 11-25 and/or their families.
  • Caseloads will be developed through our community partnerships with schools, local law enforcement and DuPage County juvenile probation.
  • Services provided are through individual counseling and crisis counseling, as well as family and group counseling.
  • Interns will gain experience providing crisis intervention services through our CCBYS program in conjunction with local law enforcement to service youth who have run away or been locked out by their parents/guardians. Interns will provide on-call crisis coverage, (3-5 shifts a month, including weekends and holidays) as part of the internship.

  • Willingness to submit a background screening
  • Must be enrolled in a Master’s level program

Intern Testimonials:

Hear from our interns about their experiences, the skills they’ve gained, and the impact they’ve made at 360 Youth Services.

Olivia LaVallie – Former Counseling Intern

My internship was a truly rewarding experience that helped me grow both personally and as a clinician. I gained valuable clinical knowledge, felt consistently supported by my supervisors and colleagues, and was encouraged every step of the way. The collaborative and welcoming environment helped me build confidence in my skills and affirmed my passion for working with youth. I’m grateful for the guidance I received throughout my time as an intern and am excited to continue my journey in the field as the Clinical Intake Coordinator at 360 Youth Services.
